Consider being a bone marrow donor*
Visit the Houchin Blood Bank nearest you (5901 Truxtun Avenue or 2600 G Street, Bakersfield, CA) to watch a 20-minute video about the National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP) Registry and bone marrow donation process
Complete a brief questionnaire and provide Houchin a small blood sample to join the NMDP Registry
*Must be between the ages of 18 and 60For those outside of Bakersfield/Kern County - contact www.marrow.org

Contribute money to Houchin Blood Bank to help underwrite the test for potential bone marrow donors using a FAN envelope**
Houchin’s cost to tissue type a blood sample and register a potential donor on the NMDP Registry is $70
Houchin is depleting its fund that provides this service to all Kern County residents at no charge
Your tax deductible donation ensures that our community will continue to have access to this free service
**If you don’t have a FAN envelope, reference “Bone Marrow Test Fund” on the front of your check

Get the word out to raise awareness about Aimee and the NMDP Registry
Recruit others to assist Houchin and join the NMDP Registry today to help Aimee and others with similar needs in our community
